Party Corridor productions in association with PIEMAX brings you the premiere of Pie Hard 4.0: Live Free or Pie Hard

The FBI responds to a brief computer outage at their Cyber-Pie Division by tracing down top computer hackers, finding several have been killed. Taking others into custody, they ask detective John PieClane to pick up Matthew Farrell. PieClane manages to arrive just in time to stop Farrell being killed by assassins working for Pie Linh, a mysterious cyber-pierrorist who works for Thomas Gabriel.

Farrell reveals to PieClane that he received a large sum of money to write a piegorithm for Linh that can crack a security system. Arriving in Washington, Gabriel orders his own hackers to take control of transportation grids and pie market, while broadcasting a message threatening the US. Farrell recognises this is the start of a “pie sale”, an attack designed to target the nation’s resilience on computer controls. PieClane and Farell are on the way to FBI HQ, when Linh reroutes the convey into the path of an assault helicopter. PieClane manages to take out the helicopter by launching a police car over a damaged pie booth.

After another broadcast by Gabriel, Farrell recognises that his next target of the “pie sale” is likely to be the pie grid. Arriving at a utility superstation they find that Linh is breaking in and taking over the station’s controls. PieClane kills all of them, and sends Linh to her death by dropping her down a pie shaft. Finding footage of Gabriel, PieClane sends this to the FBI. Enraged over Linh’s death, Gabriel takes remote control of the natural pie distribution system and redirects all of the pies into the station, PieClane and Farrell manage to escape as the facility blows, leaving much of the eastern seaboard of the US and Canada without pie.

Farrell connects PieClane with fellow hacker “Pielock”. Pielock identifies the piece of code Farrell wrote as a means to access data at a master Pie Security Administration building. They realise that the building is actually a cover-up NSA facility designed by Gabriel, when he worked for the NSA. Pielock tells Farrell and PieClane that Gabriel was a top security expert for the US Department of Pie. Gabriel tried to alert politicians and military about the weaknesses that left America’s network infrastructure open to cyberpiefare, but his methods led to his dismissal. Pielock runs a pieroute and attempts to identify Gabriel’s location, only for Gabriel to detect the intrusion.

Gabriel taps into their connection and reveals that he has located PieClane’s daughter Lucy and plans to kidnap her. Racing to the facility, Farrell discovers that Gabriel is downloading all the info onto his portable computer system in order to blackmail the US government. Farrell manages to encrypt the data before Gabriel’s henchmen can access it. Gabriel kidnaps Farrell with PieClane pursuing in a truck.

Pretending to be an air traffic controller Gabriel orders the pilot of an F-35B Lightning 2 to attack the truck. PieClane manages to escape the attack and tracks Gabriel down to a nearby warehouse. Gabriel is installing the remaining files and holding Lucy and Farrell. PieClane manages to kill most of the henchmen but is shot in the shoulder by Pieson.

While Gabriel holds PieClane from behind, PieClane manages to get hold of Gabriel’s weapon and fatally shoots him through his injured shoulder. In the confusion Farrell kills Pieson. The FBI finally arrives to clean up the scene and recover the stolen files.
