More drug cheating in sport, specifically cycling again.
What confuses me is how they can firstly get away with it to start with, Lance Armstrong springs to mind, and how come the coaches don’t suspect things. Surely the coaches see improvements beyond what they expect to see and questions why, or do they just think it’s the person working harder to improve.
By having a sport with so many cheats and a cheat who did it for 7 years or more without getting caught it makes you wonder who isn’t cheating and does question the winners of these endurance events.
This then also makes you question other sports and special achievements and whether or not they take drugs. Especially in the 100m and swimming where records are broken nearly every other month.
Surely the testing agencies need to find a way to test performers without stopping them from training to their best and performing to their best.
Cheats will always try and find a way to gain an advantage and the people who make the drugs will always try and find a way to mask the drugs.
We all wish for sports to be clean from drugs, cheats and anything else that takes the spotlight away from the stars who we hope are clean.
